Description
The Stoves Sterling 90INT is a powerful 86cm integrated canopy cooker hood designed to provide effective extraction while remaining discreetly concealed within kitchen cabinetry or a purpose-built chimney housing. Its wide format makes it particularly well suited to larger hobs and cooking areas where strong extraction performance is required without the visual impact of a conventional chimney hood.
With three regular fan speeds plus a powerful Boost function, the Sterling 90INT can adapt its extraction performance to suit different cooking situations. Lower settings are ideal for everyday simmering and lighter cooking, while the higher speeds help clear increased levels of steam, grease and cooking odours.
For particularly intensive cooking, the Boost function increases extraction performance to approximately 670m³/h. The boost operates on a six-minute timer, providing additional extraction when it is needed before automatically returning from the intensive setting.
The Sterling 90INT can be installed for either external extraction or recirculation, providing flexibility for different kitchen layouts. When externally vented, cooking vapours are ducted outside the home. Where external ducting isn't practical, the hood can operate in recirculation mode using carbon filtration to help remove cooking odours before returning filtered air to the room.
A carbon filter is included, making the hood particularly convenient for customers planning a recirculating installation.
Three aluminium grease filters capture airborne grease produced during cooking. These filters are removable and washable, making regular maintenance considerably easier. Perimeter extraction also contributes to the hood's streamlined appearance while helping efficiently draw cooking vapours into the extraction system.
Two round LED Multispot lights illuminate the cooking surface below, providing useful task lighting while using very little electricity. The warm-white 3000K colour temperature creates a comfortable kitchen atmosphere rather than the harsher appearance associated with some cooler LED lighting.
Electronic push-button controls provide straightforward access to the fan speeds, lighting and Boost function without adding unnecessary complexity.
With an energy efficiency rating of B and annual energy consumption of approximately 23.7kWh, the Sterling 90INT combines substantial extraction performance with efficient operation. Its fluid dynamic efficiency is rated Class B, while its lighting system achieves Class A efficiency.
The hood measures 858mm wide and only 290mm deep, allowing it to be integrated neatly into a suitable kitchen installation. A stainless steel finish complements other stainless steel cooking appliances while the concealed canopy format keeps the overall kitchen design clean and uncluttered.
