The Morphy Richards 48755 3 Tier Food Steamer offers a simple and convenient way to prepare healthy family meals using steam rather than added oils or fats. With a generous 9-litre total capacity and three separate steaming tiers, it allows several different foods to be cooked simultaneously while keeping them organised across individual compartments.
The three-tier design provides plenty of flexibility for preparing complete meals. Vegetables, potatoes, fish, chicken and other foods can be cooked at the same time, with the largest items or foods requiring the longest cooking time positioned in the lower tier. You can also use just one or two tiers when preparing smaller quantities, rather than assembling the entire steamer for every meal.
With instant steam production, cooking can begin quickly without a lengthy preheating process. The 750W heating system generates steam rapidly, making the appliance convenient for everyday lunches and dinners as well as larger family meals.
A 60-minute mechanical timer makes operation straightforward. Simply fill the reservoir, arrange the food in the required tiers and select the desired cooking time. When the timer reaches the end of the selected period, an audible bell sounds and the steamer automatically stops cooking.
The transparent steaming compartments allow you to keep an eye on food during preparation without repeatedly removing the lid and releasing valuable steam.
A visible water gauge on the base makes it easy to monitor the reservoir level during cooking. If additional water is required for longer steaming sessions, the external water-fill point allows the reservoir to be topped up without dismantling the steaming tiers.
