Description
The Dimplex Scala 16 Inch Electric Fire combines classic inset fireplace proportions with Dimplex's modern Optiflame technology and a contemporary chrome finish. Designed to fit neatly into a traditional fireplace opening, it provides realistic flame ambience together with thermostatically controlled heating of up to approximately 2kW.
At the heart of the Scala is Dimplex's Optiflame technology, which creates a realistic flickering flame effect above an illuminated log fuel bed. Multiple flame brightness and ambient lighting settings allow you to tailor the appearance of the fire, from a subtle background glow to a brighter and more prominent fireplace display.
The flame effect operates independently of the heater, allowing the Scala to be enjoyed throughout the year. With the heating switched off, the LED flame effect consumes very little electricity, making it practical to use purely for ambience during milder weather.
When additional warmth is required, the integrated fan heater provides two selectable heat levels of approximately 1kW and 2kW. An electronic thermostat monitors the room temperature and regulates the heater to help maintain a comfortable environment without requiring it to operate continuously.
An 8-hour programmable timer provides additional convenience, allowing the fire to switch off automatically after a selected period.
The supplied remote control gives you access to the flame effect, ambient lighting, heat settings and timer without having to approach the fire. Manual controls are also positioned discreetly on the appliance for direct operation when required.
The Scala SCA16CH is primarily designed as a 16-inch inset electric fire, making it particularly suitable for standard fireplace openings and surrounds. No working chimney or flue is required.
For installations where sufficient inset depth isn't available, Dimplex offers an optional spacer kit separately. This allows the Scala to be positioned against a suitable wall or fireplace surround without requiring the full fire body to be recessed.
The chrome finish provides a bright contemporary appearance while retaining the familiar proportions of a traditional inset fire. This makes the Scala equally suitable for updating an existing fireplace or completing a new electric fireplace installation.
With Optiflame technology, a realistic log fuel bed, remote operation and thermostatically controlled heating, the Dimplex Scala SCA16CH offers an attractive and practical way to bring both warmth and fireplace ambience to a living space.
