Description
The Dimplex Ignite Bold 74 is a spectacular 74-inch built-in electric fire designed for large media walls, feature fireplaces and contemporary living spaces. As the largest model in the Ignite Bold range, its expansive 1883mm width creates a dramatic panoramic focal point while combining highly customisable Optiflame effects with intelligent controls and up to approximately 2kW of supplementary heat.
Dimplex's Optiflame technology creates a vibrant and realistic flame display across the extra-wide viewing area. A reflective glass rear panel enhances the impression of depth, while the generous 409mm viewing height gives the flames plenty of vertical space to create a more immersive fireplace experience.
The supplied fuel bed combines realistic logs with tumbled glass, creating texture and depth beneath the flames. For even greater personalisation, the Ignite Bold offers a choice of seven flame effects and five media-bed colours. Flame brightness and speed can also be adjusted, allowing the appearance of the fire to be tailored to the room, occasion or time of day.
Installation is exceptionally flexible. The Ignite Bold can be configured as a one-sided front-facing fire, a two-sided corner fire or a three-sided panoramic fireplace. This makes the BXLF1800 particularly suitable for bespoke media walls, chimney breasts, room dividers and architectural feature installations.
For exceptionally large projects, multiple Ignite Bold fires can also be connected using Dimplex's unique linking system, allowing an even wider continuous fireplace installation to be created.
When additional warmth is required, the integrated fan heater provides up to approximately 2kW of heat. Dimplex ComfortSaver technology uses electronic room-temperature control to gradually regulate heat output and maintain the desired temperature efficiently rather than relying solely on basic on/off heating.
The flame display can operate completely independently of the heater, allowing the Ignite Bold to remain a striking visual feature throughout the year.
Control options are equally comprehensive. A Bluetooth remote control is supplied, while manual controls are positioned discreetly on the fire itself. The Dimplex Flame Connect app provides smartphone control over functions including heat, flame colours, media-bed colours, flame brightness and flame speed.
A seven-day programmable timer allows heating to be scheduled around your routine, while an ambient light sensor can adapt the firebox illumination according to surrounding light levels.
Despite its imposing 74-inch appearance, the Ignite Bold is only 289mm deep, helping simplify integration into purpose-built media walls and fireplace structures.
For large living rooms and ambitious media-wall installations, the Dimplex Ignite Bold 74 BXLF1800 combines exceptional visual impact with extensive customisation, flexible one, two or three-sided installation and intelligent electric heating.
