Description
The Dimplex Ignite Bold 50 Inch Electric Fire is a premium built-in electric fireplace designed to create a dramatic focal point in contemporary living spaces, media walls and bespoke fireplace installations. Combining Dimplex Optiflame technology with a tall panoramic viewing area, customisable lighting and powerful fan-assisted heating, the BXLF1200 delivers both impressive ambience and practical supplementary warmth.
One of the standout features of the Ignite Bold is its installation flexibility. The fire can be configured as a traditional single-sided front-facing fireplace, a two-sided corner installation or a three-sided panoramic fire. This makes it particularly well suited to custom media walls, feature walls and room-divider installations where the flame effect can be viewed from multiple angles.
The large 50-inch format provides an impressive flame display without requiring the space of the larger Ignite Bold models. A tall 409mm viewing height and reflective rear glass help create additional visual depth, while the supplied logs and tumbled glass media provide a contemporary fuel-bed effect.
Dimplex's Optiflame technology creates a realistic LED flame display that can be personalised to suit the room and atmosphere. Choose from multiple flame colours and fuel-bed colours, adjust the flame speed and alter the brightness to create anything from a subtle background glow to a more dramatic fireplace effect.
The flame effect can also be operated independently of the heater. This allows you to enjoy the appearance and ambience of the fire throughout the year without producing additional room heat.
When warmth is required, the integrated fan heater provides up to approximately 2kW of supplementary heat. Dimplex ComfortSaver technology uses an electronic thermostat and intelligent heater control to help maintain the selected room temperature efficiently rather than simply operating continuously at maximum output.
An ambient light sensor automatically responds to changing light levels in the room, helping optimise the appearance of the flame and fuel-bed lighting during both daytime and evening use.
Control is available in several ways. Manual controls are discreetly positioned on the appliance, while the supplied remote provides convenient control from across the room. The Dimplex Flame Connect app adds smartphone control via Bluetooth, allowing you to personalise flame appearance, lighting and other fireplace settings from a compatible mobile device.
A programmable 7-day timer allows heating to be planned around your normal weekly routine, while the electronic thermostat provides convenient temperature management.
For particularly ambitious installations, Ignite Bold units can also be connected together using the linking system. This allows multiple fireplaces to be combined to produce an exceptionally wide continuous fireplace feature for large residential or commercial spaces.
Measuring 1246mm wide, 607mm high and 289mm deep, the Dimplex Ignite Bold 50 is designed specifically for recessed built-in installation. Its black finish and expansive glass viewing area create a sophisticated architectural appearance that works particularly well beneath a wall-mounted television or as the centrepiece of a modern feature wall.
With its combination of one, two or three-sided installation, customisable Optiflame display, app and remote control, ComfortSaver heating and premium built-in design, the Dimplex Ignite Bold BXLF1200 offers considerably more flexibility than a conventional inset electric fire.
