Description
The Dimplex Elva 16 Inch Electric Fire combines classic inset fireplace styling with modern Optiflame technology and a sophisticated brushed chrome finish. Designed for installation into a standard fireplace opening or surround, it provides an attractive flame display together with thermostatically controlled heating of up to 2kW.
Dimplex's Optiflame technology creates a vivid flickering flame effect above a realistic illuminated log fuel bed. Multiple flame brightness levels and ambient lighting settings allow the appearance of the fire to be customised, whether you prefer a subtle background glow or a brighter, more prominent fireplace effect.
The flame effect can be operated independently of the heater, allowing the Elva to provide fireplace ambience throughout the year. With the heating switched off, the LED flame effect uses very little electricity, making it practical to enjoy even during warmer weather.
When additional warmth is needed, the integrated fan heater provides two selectable heat settings of approximately 1kW and 2kW. Electronic room-temperature control and a thermostat help maintain a comfortable temperature without requiring the heater to operate continuously.
An 8-hour run-back timer provides additional convenience, allowing the fire to operate for a selected period before automatically switching off.
The supplied remote control lets you adjust the flame effect, ambient lighting and heating from the comfort of your chair. Manual controls are also conveniently positioned on the upper-left side of the appliance.
Designed primarily as an inset electric fire, the Elva fits neatly into a suitable fireplace opening and requires no working chimney or flue. Its relatively shallow 123mm depth also makes it suitable for many replacement-fire installations.
Where a suitable recess isn't available, an optional Dimplex spacer kit can be purchased separately. This enables the Elva to be installed freestanding against a suitable wall or within a fire surround without requiring the full depth of the appliance to be recessed.
The brushed chrome finish gives the Elva a clean, contemporary appearance while retaining the familiar proportions of a traditional 16-inch inset fire. A realistic log-effect fuel bed completes the look.
With customisable Optiflame ambience, remote control, thermostatically controlled heating and flexible installation options, the Dimplex Elva ELV16CH is an excellent choice for updating an existing fireplace with the convenience of electric heating.
