Description
The Dimplex Elsberry is a premium inset electric fire combining traditional fireplace styling with Dimplex Optimyst technology to create an exceptionally realistic three-dimensional flame and smoke effect. Finished in classic black with a coal-effect fuel bed, it is an excellent choice for upgrading an existing fireplace while retaining a traditional appearance.
At the heart of the Elsberry is Dimplex's Optimyst flame technology. Unlike a conventional electric fire that creates its flame effect primarily through lighting and reflections, Optimyst uses an ultra-fine water mist illuminated by light to produce the illusion of flickering flames and rising smoke. The result is a remarkably convincing three-dimensional fire effect with natural movement and depth.
The flame intensity can be adjusted through six settings, allowing you to tailor the appearance from a gentler fire effect to a more prominent flame display. The flame effect can also operate independently of the heater, so the Elsberry can provide the atmosphere of a traditional fire throughout the year without adding unwanted warmth during milder weather.
When heating is required, an integrated fan heater provides two selectable heat levels. Maximum output is up to 2kW, with a lower setting of approximately 1kW available when less heat is needed.
Electronic thermostatic control allows a desired room temperature to be selected between approximately 15°C and 35°C. The heater then operates according to the selected temperature rather than simply running continuously.
Both heat and flame settings can be controlled using the supplied remote control, while an integrated digital display and manual controls provide convenient operation directly from the fire.
The Elsberry is designed primarily as an inset electric fire for a standard 16-inch fireplace opening, making it particularly suitable as a replacement for an older electric, gas or solid-fuel fire. For installations without a suitable recess, an optional spacer kit can also allow the fire to be positioned flat against a suitable wall.
The realistic coal-effect fuel bed complements the Elsberry's traditional black surround and fret, creating the appearance of a classic fireplace while retaining the convenience and cleanliness of electric heating.
The Optimyst system uses a refillable water tank to generate its mist effect. Filtered water is recommended to help maintain performance, particularly in hard-water areas, and the tank and Optimyst components should be cleaned regularly in accordance with Dimplex's instructions.
With its realistic Optimyst flames, traditional inset styling, remote control, adjustable thermostat and up to 2kW of supplementary heat, the Dimplex Elsberry ELS20BL-LED-UK is a sophisticated alternative to a conventional electric fire for anyone wanting a more authentic fireplace experience.
