With a compact 500W output, built-in Wi-Fi and advanced electronic controls, it combines the familiar appearance and comfortable warmth of a traditional radiator with modern app-based heating management.
The AluRad uses oil-based heating technology to deliver a combination of radiant and convected warmth. Its heating body is constructed from 100% recycled aluminium, providing a durable yet contemporary radiator design suitable for both domestic and commercial interiors.
Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity allows the DAR050 to connect directly to the Dimplex CapaConnect app, with no separate hub required. From your compatible smart device, you can adjust temperatures, create heating schedules, organise multiple heaters into zones and manage your heating remotely.
A built-in 7-day programmable timer provides flexible daily and weekly scheduling, with up to four heating periods per day. Dimplex's Adaptive Start technology can anticipate when heating needs to begin to achieve the required temperature at the scheduled time.
The electronically controlled thermostat provides temperature regulation accurate to approximately ±0.2°C, while Open Window Detection can identify a sudden temperature drop and temporarily reduce unnecessary heating.
On the radiator itself, tactile controls and a clear 1.7-inch TFT LCD display provide straightforward access to heating settings. A key lock helps prevent unwanted changes to the controls.
The DAR050 is IP24 rated, providing splash protection, and incorporates an auto-reset thermal cut-out for additional safety.
At just 410mm wide, this is the most compact model in the Dimplex AluRad Wi-Fi range, making it particularly suitable where both heating requirements and available wall space are limited.
