The Dimplex AluRad DAR200 is a powerful 2000W Wi-Fi electric radiator designed to combine the familiar appearance and comfortable warmth of a traditional wet radiator with the convenience and control of modern electric heating.
Part of the Dimplex AluRad range, the DAR200 uses oil-based heating technology to produce a combination of radiant and convected warmth. This provides a gentle, gradual heating experience with excellent heat retention, making it particularly well suited to living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and other domestic spaces where comfortable, consistent warmth is important.
With a substantial 2kW heat output, the DAR200 is the highest-output model in the AluRad Wi-Fi range. Its larger 970mm-wide body provides the additional heating capacity required for rooms with greater heat-loss requirements, although the correct heater size should always be selected according to the individual room.
Built-in Wi-Fi allows the radiator to connect directly to your home network without requiring an additional hub. Using the Dimplex CapaConnect app, you can control compatible AluRad radiators remotely from a smartphone or tablet, adjust temperatures, create heating schedules and manage multiple compatible heaters from one app.
Amazon Alexa compatibility also provides convenient voice control when the radiator is connected to a compatible smart-home setup.
For everyday heating control, the AluRad incorporates a digitally controlled electronic thermostat designed to maintain the selected room temperature accurately. Seven-day time and temperature programming allows heating schedules to be tailored around your normal weekly routine, with multiple heating periods available throughout the day.
Open Window Detection helps avoid unnecessary energy consumption by responding when the radiator detects the sudden temperature changes associated with an open window.
The radiator's controls can also be locked, helping prevent unwanted changes to temperature or programming. This can be particularly useful in family homes, rental properties and light commercial environments.
Construction is another standout feature of the AluRad range. The radiator uses a robust welded finned chassis manufactured from 100% recycled aluminium, providing a traditional radiator appearance while keeping the overall profile to just 130mm deep.
An IP24 splash-resistant rating means the DAR200 can also be considered for suitable bathroom locations when installed in accordance with applicable electrical regulations and Dimplex's installation instructions.
The Dimplex DAR200 is supplied with an H-frame wall mounting bracket and is designed as a permanently installed wall-mounted heating solution rather than a portable radiator.
