The Dimplex AluRad DAR100 1000W Wi-Fi Electric Radiator combines the familiar appearance and gentle warmth of a traditional radiator with the flexibility of modern electric heating and smart controls. Using oil-based heating technology, a precision electronic thermostat and built-in Wi-Fi, it provides comfortable, controllable heating without requiring connection to a conventional wet central heating system.
With a 1kW heat output, the DAR100 is suitable for a variety of domestic spaces including bedrooms, home offices, hallways and smaller living areas. It can be installed as a standalone electric radiator or used alongside other AluRad heaters as part of a connected electric heating solution.
Oil-based technology allows the AluRad to produce a combination of radiant and convected warmth. Rather than relying solely on rapid convection, the radiator provides a gentle and gradual heating experience similar to that associated with a traditional wet radiator.
Built-in Wi-Fi gives you convenient control through the Dimplex CapaConnect app without requiring an additional hub or control accessory. From a compatible smartphone or tablet, you can adjust the heating, change temperatures and create schedules remotely.
The DAR100 is also compatible with Amazon Alexa, adding voice control for users with a compatible smart-home setup.
A highly accurate digitally controlled electronic thermostat helps maintain a consistent room temperature while reducing unnecessary heating. Combined with programmable time and temperature controls, this allows the radiator to provide warmth when it's required rather than simply operating continuously.
The integrated 7-day timer allows different heating schedules to be created around your weekly routine, with multiple heating periods available throughout each day. This is particularly useful for rooms that are occupied at predictable times, such as bedrooms and home offices.
Open Window Detection adds another energy-saving feature. If the radiator identifies the sudden temperature drop associated with an open window, it can respond accordingly rather than continuing to heat the room unnecessarily.
The radiator can also be controlled directly from its integrated digital controls, so everyday temperature adjustments don't depend on having a smartphone available. A control-lock function helps prevent unwanted changes to settings.
AluRad's heating body is manufactured from 100% recycled aluminium with a robust welded and finned construction. Its traditional radiator-inspired appearance makes it easy to integrate into both modern and traditional interiors, while the slim 130mm depth keeps the installation relatively unobtrusive.
The DAR100 is IP24 rated, incorporates thermal cut-out and auto-reset overheat protection and is Lot 20 compliant. An H-frame wall bracket is supplied for secure wall-mounted installation.
Finished in white and measuring just 490mm wide, the Dimplex AluRad DAR100 is considerably narrower than the more powerful 1500W model, making it particularly useful where wall space is limited but smart, permanently installed electric heating is required.
