Description
Keep entrances warm and welcoming with the Dimplex AC45W 4.5kW Air Curtain Over Door Heater. Designed for commercial premises, offices, shops and other frequently used entrances, this powerful wall-mounted heater provides a stream of warm air above doorways to help reduce uncomfortable cold draughts.
Featuring two heating settings, fan-only operation, an electronic thermostat and intelligent app-based controls, the Dimplex AC45W offers an effective and convenient heating solution for busy commercial environments.
Its compact white design, adjustable airflow and convenient wall-mounted installation make it particularly suitable for premises where maintaining a comfortable entrance temperature is important.
Powerful 4.5kW Heating
The Dimplex AC45W delivers up to 4.5kW of heating power, making it suitable for commercial entrances and areas where additional warmth is required.
Installed above a doorway, the heater directs warm air downwards to help counteract cold air entering the building.
This makes it particularly useful for shops, cafés, offices and other premises with frequently opening doors.
Two Heat Settings and Fan-Only Operation
Choose between three operating options to suit your heating requirements.
Half Heat – 2.45kW
Provides a lower heating output when less warmth is required.
Full Heat – 4.5kW
Delivers maximum heating power for colder conditions and busy entrances.
Fan-Only Mode
Circulates air without activating the heating elements.
These flexible settings allow the appliance to be used throughout the year.
Ideal for Commercial Entrances
The Dimplex AC45W is designed for installation above single doorways.
Its downward airflow helps create a more comfortable environment around entrances, particularly where doors are opened frequently.
This makes it a practical choice for retail premises, reception areas, offices and other commercial buildings.
The heater can also be used as a high-level fan heater where additional warmth is required.
Intelligent Dimplex ConfigR App Control
Enjoy advanced control using the Dimplex ConfigR app.
The app provides access to additional settings, including temperature adjustment, heating schedules and boost functionality.
This allows users to configure the heater according to their operating hours and heating requirements.
Electronic Thermostat
The Dimplex AC45W features a digitally controlled electronic thermostat.
Temperature settings can be adjusted between 7°C and 32°C through the ConfigR app.
This provides convenient control over heating operation and helps maintain a comfortable environment.
Seven-Day Programmable Timer
The integrated scheduling functionality allows you to create a heating programme for different days of the week.
Using the ConfigR app, businesses can configure heating to suit their opening hours.
For example, the heater can be programmed to operate during business hours rather than running unnecessarily when the premises are closed.
Adjustable Airflow Direction
The AC45W features adjustable airflow direction, allowing warm air to be directed towards the required area.
This is particularly useful when positioning the heater above an entrance, where effective airflow is important for maintaining comfort.
Compact Wall-Mounted Design
With a width of just 624mm, the Dimplex AC45W is designed to fit neatly above suitable single doorways.
Its contemporary curved styling and white powder-coated finish complement a wide range of commercial interiors.
The wall-mounted design also keeps valuable floor space clear.
Durable Construction
The Dimplex AC45W features a pressed steel fascia with a durable powder-coated finish.
Designed for regular use, its robust construction makes it suitable for demanding commercial environments.
The heater also incorporates EnduroTech motor technology for reliable operation.
Built-In Safety Protection
For additional peace of mind, the AC45W incorporates two manual-reset thermal safety cut-outs.
These provide protection against overheating.
The appliance is also IP21 rated and designed for indoor installation in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Convenient Everyday Controls
The heater features simple onboard rocker switches for everyday operation.
One switch allows users to select between standby, manual and scheduled operation.
The second provides access to fan-only, half-heat and full-heat settings.
Additional settings are available through the ConfigR app.
