Description
The Belling BRIH60BK is a 60cm built-in induction hob that combines the speed and efficiency of induction cooking with straightforward rotary controls. Featuring four cooking zones, powerful 7.4kW total output and a sleek black glass surface, it is a practical choice for anyone who wants modern induction performance without relying entirely on touch controls.
Induction technology heats compatible cookware directly rather than heating the entire hob surface first. This provides rapid response when increasing or reducing the temperature and helps transfer energy efficiently into the pan. It also means the surrounding glass remains considerably cooler than with a traditional ceramic hob, although residual heat from hot cookware can still warm the surface.
The standout feature of the BRIH60BK is its rotary control system. Each cooking zone has its own dedicated control knob, providing a familiar and tactile way to adjust cooking power. This makes the hob particularly appealing to customers who like the performance of induction but prefer physical controls to an entirely touch-operated interface.
Individual LED displays make it easy to see the selected setting for each cooking zone. Multiple power levels provide the flexibility required for everything from gently simmering sauces to boiling water and high-temperature frying.
A Boost function provides additional power when rapid heating is required, making it particularly useful when bringing a large pan of water to the boil or when you need an immediate increase in cooking temperature.
The hob also incorporates a timer and minute-minder function, helping you keep track of cooking times without requiring a separate kitchen timer.
Safety features include a Child Lock that can disable the controls to help prevent accidental operation. Residual heat indicators remain illuminated after cooking when the glass around a zone is still hot enough to require caution.
Induction pan detection also means a cooking zone will not begin heating unless suitable induction-compatible cookware is correctly positioned on it. If an unsuitable pan is used or no pan is detected, the corresponding display provides a warning rather than activating the zone normally.
The smooth black glass surface gives the BRIH60BK a clean contemporary appearance and is straightforward to wipe down after cooking. Because induction transfers heat directly to the cookware, spills are also less likely to burn onto the surrounding glass as aggressively as they can on a conventional radiant ceramic hob.
With four cooking zones, rotary controls, Boost functionality and a substantial 7.4kW total connected load, the Belling BRIH60BK offers an attractive combination of traditional hands-on control and modern induction cooking technology.
